About me

Intuition is my guide. Passion for creation is my strength. Sentiment is my guidepost.

I graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences and received a master's degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade. However, these scientific fields failed to capture my true interest.

Following my intuition, passion, and sentiment, I debuted in the art world in 2017 with my first solo exhibition, and in 2023, I participated in a group exhibition in Venice, the birthplace of both art and glass—the foundation of my creative expression.

It was in 2015 that the glass chose me by letting its tiny pieces hurt me while they lay scattered all over my body. As I collected its fragments, I began creating motifs, transforming them into glass artworks. That is when I experienced the feeling of creation and realized that this was exactly what I had been searching for. While constructing different motifs using shards of glass, I discovered my talent. My works capture the cycle of life, incorporating imagery of birds, trees, the sun, and human beings.

A unique sensation comes with crafting pieces using your hands while losing track of time.

Art is my passion! There is a sense of fulfillment that comes from crafting something with your own hands and infusing the artwork with a portion of positive energy. I started creating glass paintings after an accident in which shattered glass revealed a mesmerizing reflection, igniting within me a sense of a new beginning. I saved that glass, and a year later, I made a glass painting called World Map.

The moment of shifting my attention from the accident to the glass and reflection opened the door to the art scene on which I have been standing for six years. Considering a different perspective is crucial. That moment sparked my journey of discovering my talent and delving into crafting glass paintings that speak of energy, balance, humanity, and thoughts. My intention with my glass artwork is to communicate the significance of positive thoughts we deliberately choose for ourselves. Following the accident, the question for me was whether I could see the fracture or the entire structure. I opted for the entire structure and began the process of crafting my glass artwork from large fractures. My art is in my heart.

Creativity

The saying “Your thoughts determine your future outcomes“ is well-known to the vast majority of people.

Everyday existence is a testament to the immense influence of positive thoughts.

Occasionally, you may influence the flow of positive thoughts intuitively rather than consciously, and that is a remarkable gift.

A few years ago, I was involved in an accident that resulted in a rather unusual situation: a substantial quantity of glass fell on me. The first question that came to my mind was, “Why?“ I experienced a sense of sadness; however, I was aware that I should preserve the glass. I was unable to articulate that sensation, as intuition is a form of knowledge outside of conscious reasoning.

After a year, I was struck by an idea: a glass-encased image of a WORLD MAP. I began assembling the World of Glass.

It was in 2016, and I was still unaware of the materials, substrate, or technique.

I was making the painting intuitively. This is how I created my first piece of art, which still forms part of my fruitful collection. For many art enthusiasts, this painting embodies the most exquisite work of art; for me, it symbolizes the transformative power of thoughts, attitude, and effort.

Subsequently, there ensued a phase of research into technique and glass. While working on my first paintings, I unearthed a deep passion that I wholeheartedly devote myself to and derive immense joy from. I discovered talent. There's nothing quite like the incredible sensation of bringing something to life with your own hands. I discovered joy, which is the key that opens all doors.

Using fragments of glass and making millions of iterative movements, I carefully transferred glass pieces with tweezers to create motifs.

Glass changed my life. From the accident, through the experience of sadness to the vision, concept, actualization, refinement of the technique, incorporation of new materials, and faith, today I witness the occurrences that illuminate my life and make it sparkling, like glass.

I express myself most vividly through my artwork.

Lectures
APR2024

Venice Internacional University, San Servolo, Venice

As part of the Cultural Diplomacy course at the Venice International University, at the invitation of Professor Giorgio Andrian, I held a lecture on the topic “Art as part of Cultural Diplomacy“

The lecture centered on showcasing the concept I developed for the “Identity“ exhibition, which took place in October 2023 at the Palazzo Pisani Revedin Gallery in Venice, in the vicinity of St. Mark's Square. By integrating personal, collective, and group identity and leveraging my expertise from the Faculty of Political Sciences, I devised an exhibition concept that strongly resonated with the Venetian audience. I presented seven maps, crafted using glass and coins. Drawing clear lines as identity traits and historical linkages between Serbia and Italy, I left a strong impression on the Venetian audience, resulting in an invitation from the International University of Venice in February 2024. The lecture was held on April 8, 2024.
